Committee Members of the Lithic Studies Society
Web Officer: Ann E. Oldroyd
Ann Oldroyd studied BA Archaeology and MA Experimental Archaeology at the University of Exeter, focusing on bifacial stone tool technologies of the Upper Palaeolithic. Following her studies, she changed careers and spent five years working as a website designer and coder in two creative agencies. During this time she worked on over three hundred websites, including ones for well known organisations such as Jewson and Coventry University. In 2018, she made a much-desired move back into archaeology, taking a job as a Trainee Environmental Scientist at the commercial unit Border Archaeology in Milton Keynes. Ann brings both her fascination for lithic studies and her experience with website design, development and maintenance to the Web Officer role.
