Committee Members of the Lithic Studies Society
Secretary: Josephine Mills
I am a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Archaeology, University College London. My main research interest, and the subject of my PhD, is flint provenance in the English Channel region, with a specific focus on Middle Palaeolithic assemblages and further implication for Neanderthal behaviour. I have a strong background in lithic studies having worked for both the British Museum and Jersey Heritage cataloguing and analysing stone tools. Since 2010 when I began working in the field I have excavated and supervised at many palaeolithic sites and am currently involved in the Ice Age Island field project based in the Channel Islands.
