Rob is a Junior Lecturer in the Dept. of Archaeology (School of Human and Environmental Science) at the University of Reading. His background is in the British Lower Palaeolithic, and in the last few years has worked in Devon (re-excavating the Broom Lower Palaeolithic site) and in the Solent (applying GIS techniques to the re-interpretation of secondary context handaxe assemblages). He has also run an experimental archaeology project in mid-Wales, exploring the transportation and transformation of replica lithic artefacts in gravel bed rivers.
